Xander Reed Lowe was born at 2:35 pm on Saturday September 14, 2008. He weighed 6lbs 15ozs and was 20.5 inches long. He was welcomed home by a brother Hunter and a sister Dakota.October 1, 2008
The pediatrician called today to let us know that Xander's newborn screen showed the "possibility" of him having Cystic Fibrosis. Tests will follow in Dayton, Ohio.
February 2, 2009
Xander was admitted to Dayton Children's Hospital for the diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis as some of the previous tests were ruled "inconclusive." He was not gaining weight properly so we admitted him. He was given the bear in the picture by the staff. We still have it today as his older brother is watching over it for him.

Xander was released from Dayton Children's Hospital with the diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis. Was given medicine to help weight gain.

Played outside with my brother and sister today. Was a beautiful day to ride in the Viper powerwheels with them.

Xander walked all by himself today. 8 days before he turns 1.

Xander turned one this day. We celebrated with an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
November 26, 2009
Xander had some difficulty breathing even after his morning breathing treatment so a trip to the ER was taken. Xander drank a little apple juice on the way but really showed some stress in breathing as we arrived. Was given more treatments, but eventually had to be put on a ventilator. Within 3-4 minutes of being on the ventilator, Xander's heart stopped. CPR was done for over 50 minutes but he was gone from this world - free from the CF. Fly lil man...Fly free!
